great world
today i caught great world city (the film) with my family.
it was interesting to be presented with a slice of history, so close and understandable to singaporeans,
and yet, that slice is not exactly something that belonged to people of my generation.
it made me wonder how would things have been if i lived in that memory.
for someone like me, who enjoys recollecting memories,
who sinks into nostalgia quite deeply like an old man of no return,
I appreciated the ideas and concepts presented.
its a culture that i wish i had the chance to partake.
Just as how i predicted myself during j2 of how id miss school, i think it goes without question how id live my life, perhaps hopefully another 70years down, and then looking back at the road.
and say, aha. i miss this youth i am living in right now.
