pre CNY
This year i went down to Chinatown for Pre-CNY.
well, not really, considering all my family did was eat dinner + eat dessert + walk (no buys!)
well, i had a really decent chance to shoot, which i fully utilised (:

#1, Streets of Chinatown
Polaroid style.
The lights are already all up! And so are the crowds, btw.
Its quite as bad as going down on the day(chu yi) itself.
Congestion is aplenty, that i guarantee.
Im getting hooked to well. Holga and the likes, because its just so attractive at times.
sometimes it feels like a piece of preserved memory, sometimes a magazine feature..

#2, Tasty Mama?
Well, i was just walking around and i felt soo compelled to shoot this one.
Its like, backward culture + some sense of oldskool tucked away in a corner of Singapore.
And the highlight of the day's events was..
Going down to this special dessert store that my family frequents once a year.
Its a CNY ritual, like seriously._.
but its an awesome one, i must admit.

#3, Green Tea ice shavings, topped with really bountiful amounts of Red bean.
seriously, any fan of green tea should be satisfied.
we had to queue for 30min-1hr for a place.
soo. i wont advertise further, lest you take up a spot in my queue the next time around.
:D
But okay, my last photo goes to this.
Really significant photo i shot.

#4 "500g to 4"
Honestly, i cant help but be soo pleased with the composition and final result >.<
Not only did i spend time to think of angles and effects, i retook the shots many times and waited for the right.. well, pose to bring out the emotion in the picture.
hidden behind and well masked by the board.
An emotion of perseverance amidst the slacking;
and a mild annoyance of the quiet stall in the busy streets.
