idolism?
spent the whole of my day looking at akb48, watching previous episodes of their gameshow, akbingo, looking out at forums.
in the search of the oshimen.
oshi, 押し, meaning to push, and メン, for member.
the member that one supports the most.
the concept of adopting an idol never got closer.
in the past, there were already many fanciful idols.
there's many, many that i used to (still may!) fancy, ill just stick their pictures around
its okay if they seem alien. no expectations here.

thinking back, i really had many nice moments with them.
so anyw, was caught with the concept of what makes up an idol again.
does an idol simply display stunning looks/beauty? vocal prowess, dancing ability, and/or other interesting skills?
or perhaps, having images that we as followers aspire to?
more than often, i have seen so many people fall for the charms. thats ok, honestly.
or else, perhaps the trendsetting fashion statements their idols make. [thinks of ayu and kodakumi]
interestingly, as AKB grows on me, and compels me to finally search for my answer, i slowly start to form criterias. and after a few months of self searching and understanding, i have finally sorted things out.
as we shall see (:
