AKB48 - oshimen~
finally, to myself especially, a long awaited, necessary, deserved post.
recently i've been quite foolishly getting into AKB48, which is a girl group of 48 girls.
i must admit firstly, that never in my life have i bothered so much with a group, and honestly i should say its so easy to get sucked into all the fandom once we set our minds to.
so on with that.
this photo of the single just seems to show everyone in the group, so im re using it to illustrate my point that there are just..
too many, many, many girls to choose from, and how does it begin!
going through photos on forums, watching music/promotional videos seemed important as the first step. and so i did.
unfortunately, one's understanding [and faze!] lacks depth, and so, moving onto the next step, going into their weekly tv programme/gameshows. AKBingo is one of them.
ups the understanding of how they relate to each other, how they have fun, how they carry out certain tasks.
and ofc to add, the feeling of seeing girls getting whacked, punished is so priceless.
and then, checking out magazine scans, photobooks, reading the news, going onto their blogs to check things out.
all the necessary basics to become a fan, i went to try.
i wanted to see if i could move on, from being a supporter, to a fan.
and in this journey, at some point, we're confounded with the problem.
who to be, this personal favourite?
and so we try to decide.
now, i'll bring some of my own personal favourites, ones that i originally liked.
and ill skip on those that i have come to appreciate now.
Manami Oku
Birthdate: 1995/11/22, makes her 15 this year!
i initially recognised her because she has the stunning mixed blood look, and surething, she's a half italian.
too cute, too cute!
until.. mayuyu came along.
Watanabe Mayu
Nickname: mayuyu
Birthdate: March 26th, 1994 [ another young girl! O: ]
back then, i felt like mayuyu would be the one.
she often appeared on the front of pvs and acted with much cuteness. ooh~><>< ] and one that i cannot see as an idol, an idol that possesses certain emotional attributes that i look to. and that became one of my criteria. my search continued, and then in eventuality, narrowing down my choices,
Itano Tomomi
Nickname: Tomochin
Birthdate: 1991/07/03 [same age?!]
i spotted Tomochin. to me, she is the Tooth princess, because i simply admire her toothy grin.
Kyaaa~ to me, I think she's really pretty, probably one of most pretty ones in AKB. I liked her because she's also quite the fashionista, and is versatile in her appearances.
seeing how much she has grown up was quite a treat as well.
for me, she represents beauty, cuteness, versatility. and if not for the fact that i can only pick one person to be the number one, i'd have chosen her.
and here, ill skip out on a few outstanding ones, especially going to Oshima Yuko, Shinoda Mariko, as well as Takahashi Minami, whom i felt were great contenders in terms of attitude and looks.

oshimen of AKB48 goes to..
Miyazawa Sae
Nickname: Genking=Genki King! [genki=energy]
Birthdate: August 13th, 1990
granted, i dont think she is the most pretty girl of the lot. but thats not exactly the point of an oshimen to me either.
she possesses alot of interesting points. i like that she has relatively short hair and that she styles it to look.. quite cute at times, quite cool at times. sometimes it seems like the hairstyle can even be made for guys.
that she aims to dress differently from the others, a cool image.
that she is often full of energy, constantly positive. and playful!
that she is quite a strong girl who has lived through and dealt with hardship.
that she sometimes has big actions, can seem crude at times, and yet can still be cute.
and nmore than often not acting the way as idols do, and/or expected of them.
bashful, crazy.
importantly, someone who is not a formulation of ideals, but someone who feels real.
because she is colourful beyond normal, and is hence unique.
i think i am quite glad to have her as my oshimen.
finally, for someone wishywashy like me to decide.
im very glad that things have been set, cast in stone.
yay~.~ what a sense of relief.
i shall move on, hoping my oshimen will change my life, for the better.
